Training and capacity building

Under the European Commission funded ‘Better Training for a Safer Food (BTSF)’ programme we have been heavily involved in developing and delivering courses on ‘Risk Analysis’ and on ‘Auditing Plastics Recycling Plants’.  Training is no longer a matter of simply listening to experts, but involves participation in practical exercises and field work. We are experienced in designing presentations and developing innovative training materials both for both formal courses as well as informal interactions based on assessing end-users needs.

We have considerable experience in training laboratory staff in best practice in food safety testing, method development, method validation and R&D project development.  This experience extends to supervision of students and PhDs & post-docs working in food safety environment.
